How to Apply

- Students are asked to complete the Application form and return it with the Application fee of $55 (GST inclusive and non refundable) to USC.
- On receipt of the Application form the Registrar will make contact to arrange a time for the student, with at least one parent or guardian, to attend an interview.
- During the interview, subject choices will be discussed, and the student
will be asked to complete a short aptitude test and essay.
- Students are asked to bring their current and previous year's school reports.
Without these, the enrolment process cannot be finalised.
- Shortly after the interview, students are notified whether (or not) their application for enrolment has been successful. If successful, the offer of a place at USC will be made. Enrolment can be secured by completing the USC Enrolment forms and returning them to the College with the Enrolment fee of $75 (also not refundable) within two weeks of the receipt of the offer.
- Enrolled students are invited to a subject selection evening in Term 4 when they can meet with subject teachers and have an opportunity to discuss their subject choices for the coming year.
- Students are expected to attend an orientation program, which takes place during the week prior to the commencement of formal lessons.
- Students enrolling for Year 12 or 13 are required to attend the transition lectures held at the end of the current year for the subjects of intended study in the following year at USC. A programme is distributed during Term 4.

Scholarships
Each year a limited number of academic scholarships are provided for students commencing full time studies at USC in Year 11. Academic scholarships to attend USC are highly competitive and range in value from 25% to full remission of tuition fees.
PLEASE NOTE: Only an ACER registration for scholarship form needs to be completed. The USC Application Form provided on the website or in the Information Pack sent by the school is not required.
These scholarships are awarded entirely on the results of the Scholarship Selection Test (SST) developed by the Australian Council for Education Research (ACER). The examination is held at the main school campus of USC located at the corner of Pulteney Street and North Terrace on Saturday 26 June 2010 from 9:45am until approximately 1:00pm.
This date is the only opportunity to sit for the SST exam.
Students wishing to apply for a scholarship must do so by submitting the ACER registration form only. This can be done
online. The scholarship registration fee is $70.00. Registration forms are also available from the college.
The closing date for registration is Thursday 17 June 2010.
