Combustion/Redox reactions

Creating a Reaction

Project Brief

Redox chemistry is the study of reduction and oxidation reactions that take place simultaneously during a chemical reaction.

This resource includes detailed definitions of such terms as well as examples on how to determine if a reaction is a redox reaction or not. The powerpoints explain to students why it is necessary to study redox chemistry at this level. They demonstrate how well known or common reactions like photosynthesis and respiration are also reduction and oxidation reactions.

The redox chemistry powerpoint and worksheets are developed mainly for year 11 students studying chemistry. However it can also be used as revision for the year 12 students studying chemistry in year 12.
